We are entering the final weeks of the School Year. That means finals, projects, studying, and also time to celebrate. A major milestone whether you are graduating from middle school, from high school, or from college and we want to wish you an enthusiastic CONGRATULATIONS!

Graduating Middle School

We think it’s important to recognize and congratulate students on their accomplishments and graduating from middle school definitely qualifies. We want to see you succeed and flourish. So it’s important to keep organized and continue to express your personality and opinions. You may also start using more technology in the classroom. Here are a few tips before you step into High School:

Remember to give yourself time to adjust. As your environment, social circle, and schedule shift, you will need to adjust in how you organize yourself and manage your time.
Get Involved, form relationships. Making friends with students older than you or building a rapport with your teachers can pave the way to gaining helpful advice and mentorship during your high school years.
Figure out how you want to be organized and brush up on time management skills. Building organizational and time management skills now will make it easier for you as you get older.

Graduating High School

You’ve completed your last exam, written the last essay, and turned in your final projects. Now you are ready to move on to the next chapter. Whether it’s the exciting adventures that await you at college or embarking on a new path at a full-time job, we agree with Minor Myers, Jr when he said, “Go into the world and do well. But more importantly, go into the world and do good.” Here are a few tips on how to get through the transition period.

Remember it’s okay to ask for help. Learning to advocate for yourself is an essential tool to cultivate. It’s important to know how to utilize resources available to you, to make life a little better.
Do what you like, not just to boost your resume. Doing what’s expected of you all the time and big changes can be really draining. By including a curriculum that you are passionate about in your semester, breaks up the mandatory classes, and keeps learning fun.
Don’t allow for procrastination. Remember that you are in college to learn and grow. Getting the hard work out of the way leaves time to truly enjoy the entire college experience

Graduating College

Graduating from College signals the closure of one significant chapter of your life and the beginning of a brand new one. You should feel encouraged and acknowledge the hard work you have just completed. As you transition into the open Job market and step into the world of working full time, remember it is a marathon, not a sprint, to get to where you want to be. In order to make the transition smoother, here are a few tips.

Accept that everything is going to change. From now on your life is going to be different in pretty much every way. You must do your best to accept and even better, embrace these changes. Try to see this time as an opportunity for personal growth and learning, instead of a negative thing.
Your first job won’t likely be your last. If your first job isn’t everything you thought it would be, don’t worry too much. This is just the first stage of your career journey – you have a wealth of experiences ahead of you. Take as much as you can from your current role, and then move on.
Realize that you’ll be expected to pick things up quickly. One thing you’ll have probably learned during your time in education is that you can’t expect to be spoon-fed if you want to be successful. Go after it. Be proactive in your new role, whatever it may be.
